How long does it take you EXTENDED – The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Billy @ Ramblings Of A Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013.
Each week, the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book-related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to their own blogs.
15th – 21st: How long does it usually take you to finish a book?submitted by Billy
Let’s start the Book Blogger Hop – How long does it take you
How much time do I usually need?
It usually depends on how much time and focus I put into finishing that book and how long it is. If the book gets me, I could read through it for hours or some days, which might even take me one day or two if I don’t have much to do/ the book keeps me going. But that depends on things like the writing style, the story, likable characters, and if it gives what I’m looking for in a good book.
In most cases, it takes me one day, three days at the most, when I’m constantly on it.
As with reading, it also depends on my time and how long the said game is. More miniature puzzle games aren’t as time-intensive as the bigger ones like Elden Ring.
Whenever I get to it, I try to vary with those; sometimes, I go with shorter ones because I know I wouldn’t have much time to play. On other days, I can focus on a AAA title.
It also depends on whether I calculated my time correctly and didn’t get distracted, how the story is, and how much the hype gets to me.
Usually, a more minor puzzle game can take me a day or maybe 3. A cozy game like Stardew Valley can take a bit longer because I got into the hype and could always go back to this game
Most of the time, when I watch a movie, I do it in one session. Only when I get distracted do I finish it in a second. It hardly matters how long the film is; I usually end The Hobbit or Avengers in one run.
For shows, however, it depends on the length of the episodes and how much the episodes take me with them. Sometimes, I can watch a lot in one day or go with one a day when they’re an hour long, like Game of Thrones episodes.
Of course, it’s also on the storyline, how much filler those episodes the show has, and so on. In a usual manner, I don’t even mind watching stuff and doing something else simultaneously.
