Are you a Bookworm or Reader

Last updated on January 8th, 2024 at 01:52 am

Bookworm or reader? – The Book Blogger Hop was initially created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Billy @ Ramblings Of A Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013.
Each week, the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book-related question. The hop’s purpose is to allow bloggers to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to their blogs.

I think those questions would be pretty interesting to answer. Sometimes, it’s easier than other times. But that only gives reasons to talk and discuss the questions even more.

Book Blogger Hop - Bookworm or Reader

10th -16th – Do you consider yourself a bookworm or reader?

Book Blogger Hop: Do you consider yourself a bookworm or reader?

Difference per definition:

What is considered a “bookworm”?
A bookworm is considered a person who likes to read books and spends a lot of time reading and studying.
What is to be considered a “reader”?
A reader is considered a person who reads, whether they love reading or can read.

So, a reader only reads or is interested, which seems legit, but a bookworm is more the hardcore version of it. Knowing that makes my answer easier.
Sometimes, I am more of a bookworm, but there are others when I’d only be considered a reader because of my busy schedule.

So, it’s hard to answer.

As I mentioned before, there are times when I read one book after another within days, such as five books in 5 days, and then there are days when I hardly get the chance to read or don’t have the energy to do so, and so on. So, is that consideration for one overall or only for certain times?
The nerd in me would agree on being a bookworm because I can finish many books within days if I have a free week(end), and I would dive into a couple of books before stopping my session.

Ultimately, sometimes the answer is not 100% black or white but some version of grey. Maybe a darker or lighter one, depending on the tendency of the direction one would decide to go with.
And that’s important to recognize and keep an eye on. Why does it have to be only one side or the other anyway? I don’t think that has to be necessary.

Yes, I would consider myself a bookworm.
