Life is Strange 2 Game Review (Square Enix, PS4) New

Life is Strange 2 Game Review, for the same-titled game by Square Enix. It was first released for the PS4, nowadays it’s also on PC.

Why did I choose to play Life is Strange 2?

Ever since I played Life is Strange with Max, I decided to go along and joined the sequel. Where I fell in love with the Diaz brothers and haven’t regretted it yet.

The Basics

Life is Strange 2 follows two brothers, 16-year-old Sean and 9-year-old Daniel Diaz, as they flee across the United States to Mexico after Daniel accidentally triggers a lethal telekinetic blast that kills someone.

What Worked

What really worked for me in Life is Strange 2 was the brothers. Playing as Sean, the older brother, I just love him so much. The way he cares about Daniel, how thoughtful he is in everything he does — most of his actions are driven by protecting and providing for his younger brother. That sibling bond feels incredibly genuine and gives the story so much emotional weight.

And Daniel? Absolute cutiepie. His innocence and dependence on Sean make every decision feel heavier because it’s not just about you anymore — it’s about shaping who he becomes. Their dynamic together is the heart of the entire game, and it kept me invested from start to finish.

Final thoughts
