Why did I choose to read Below Zero?
As part of the Loathe to Love You Book, which I had around on my stack seniors, I was admittingly hesitant first. Especially because contemporary romance isn’t necessarily my primary read genre. But It did kinda surprise me and I absolutely enjoyed the read.
The Basics

Hannah’s got a bad feeling about this. Not only has the NASA aerospace engineer found herself injured and stranded at a remote Arctic research station—but the one person willing to undertake the hazardous rescue mission is her longtime rival.
What Worked
What worked for me in Below Zero is that, even though the story feels “simple” in the sense that there’s no fantasy element, it still kept me excited to keep reading. It was engaging from the beginning, and the plot never lost my interest.
I also really liked how the characters are built and developed. Both of their storylines feel believable and make sense as the book goes on, so I didn’t feel like anything was happening randomly. It was interesting to see how the relationship and the personal problems connect, and it made the emotional tension feel real.
