Wrap-Up August 2026 – Monthly Highlights New

Welcome to my Wrap-Up August 2026! It was a busy month on the blog, with plenty of reviews across books, games, and movies. From finishing up trilogies to diving into new fantasy series, there was a lot of media to consume and share with you.

📝 Wrap-Up August 2026

Since I’ve been posting consistently, I thought it’d be a good idea to gather everything in one place. Here’s what went live during August, so you can catch up on anything you might have missed.

📚 Book Reviews

This month had a strong focus on romance and fantasy. I wrapped up Ali Hazelwood’s STEMinist novellas, explored a new fantasy series, and started reviewing the Wolf of Ruins books.

If you’re looking for something light and sweet, start with the STEMinist reviews. For more fantasy adventure, the Wolf of Ruins entries are up next on the docket.

🎮 Game Reviews

Gaming was all about narrative experiences and revisiting classics. I played through two Life is Strange titles and dug into the original Watch Dogs on PS3. Plus, I got my hands on Metal Gear Rising for some action-packed fun, which I really enjoyed and am so happy about, since the Metal Gear Games are usually on the harder side.

Whether you’re into choice-driven stories or hacking-heavy stealth, there’s something here worth checking out.

🎬 Movie & TV Reviews

August was the month of the Venom trilogy and the Culpa film series. I reviewed all three Venom movies and the first installment of My Fault, keeping tabs on how sequels compare to their originals.

It was interesting seeing how the Venom series evolved over time, and the Culpa movies definitely brought some Spanish-language YA romance flair to the screen.

✍️ Blog Life & Events

I changed the theme, since I wasn’t entirely happy for the former theme not having a dark/light theme toggle, but now it doesn’t display published + modified date, so I’m not entirely done yet.

Plus, I’ve been working on the blogging server, planning challenges and events ahead for us all to join in, and working on getting users. So, come on Join Our Blogging Community!
I personally love to gush about blogging, share what I’ve been working on and such. Just having people around to share my hobby with.

On the writing side, outside of reviews, I tried a writing prompt challenge and covered a major gaming event for narrative fans.
And continued on editing older blog posts, updating images, keywords for SEO, and all those “small” things that nobody tends to see but is included into keeping the blog “alive” for seach engines.

Regarding SEO, I FINALLY, finally, managed to get the site on over 90 for optimization regarding mobile. I’m so, so happy about this, as it took me ages to get this finally done.

The Steam festival post highlighted games focused on branching storylines and decision-making—perfect for fans of the Life is Strange reviews above!

What’s Coming Next?

September is shaping up to be just as full. I’ll be wrapping up some ongoing series and possibly diving into a few seasonal picks to match the changing weather.
